Chart Expert ("we," "our," or "the app") is a mobile application for chart analysis and trading education. It offers AI powered chart scanning, analysis, insights, and chat style assistance for stocks, crypto, indices, commodities, and related markets. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the app.

1. Information We Collect

• Chart images you upload: When you scan or upload chart screenshots or photos, these images are processed to provide AI powered analysis, insights, and suggested plans (such as Buy, Sell, or Hold labels) as described in the app.
• Information you enter: Data you provide (for example onboarding responses, notes, or fields requested by a feature) may be used to personalize your experience and improve the quality of analysis.
• Chat messages: If you use Ask Chart Expert or other chat features, your messages and conversation history may be stored on your device and/or our systems to maintain context and improve your experience.
• Account and subscription data: If you create an account or subscribe, we may process identifiers and subscription status as needed to provide access and manage billing through the Apple App Store and our backend.
• Technical data: We may receive information such as device type and app usage to help us fix issues and improve the app. We use Supabase for backend services (storage, authentication, and related infrastructure).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and improve chart scanning, AI Plan suggestions, insights, Ask Chart Expert, and related features
• Process images and text through secure, third party AI services (for example OpenAI) that power these features
• Store uploaded charts and data on secure servers (Supabase) as needed to deliver the service
• Verify subscription or account status where applicable
• Respond to your support requests when you contact us

We do not use your data to provide personalized investment or trading recommendations on your behalf, and we do not execute trades for you.

3. Third Party Services

We rely on the following types of third parties:

• Supabase: Hosting, storage, and backend services. Your charts and app data may be stored and processed by Supabase in accordance with their privacy practices.
• OpenAI (or similar AI providers): To analyze charts and text for insights, AI Plan output, and chat responses. Data sent to these providers is used to generate responses and is subject to their respective privacy policies.
• Apple App Store: If you purchase a subscription, payment and certain account details are processed by Apple according to their terms and privacy policies.
• Subscription management (e.g. RevenueCat or similar): When enabled, we may use a provider to validate purchases and entitlements. That provider receives transaction related data as needed to provide its service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain your uploaded charts and related data only as long as necessary to provide the service and to comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights or ask questions about your data, please contact us at the email below.

6. Security

We use industry standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we encourage you to use the app only with data you are comfortable sharing for the purposes described here.

7. Children

Chart Expert is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
