Welcome to Shrimp Expert. By downloading, installing, or using the Shrimp Expert app ("the app," "we," "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Description of the Service

Shrimp Expert is a mobile application that provides:

• Information and tools for freshwater aquarium shrimp keepers
• Shrimp Health Diagnosis: photo-based insights and general wellness information (not a substitute for veterinary care)
• Shrimp Price Checker: estimates of fair market value based on photos and user-provided details
• Molt Analyzer: photo-based information related to molting (informational only)
• Compatibility Tracker: guidance to help you assess compatibility considerations for your setup
• Chat: conversational assistance about shrimp care and related topics
• Optional paid subscriptions or in-app purchases, where offered through the app stores

Features may use artificial intelligence (AI) to generate responses. AI outputs are for informational purposes only and may not be accurate or complete.

2. Not Professional Advice

The app does not provide veterinary, legal, or financial advice. Health-related content, molting information, compatibility guidance, and price estimates are for general information only. Always consult a qualified aquatic veterinarian or specialist when appropriate, and consult qualified professionals for legal or financial decisions. We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on the app's content or AI-generated output.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe the rights of others or upload content you do not have the right to use
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' accounts, or third-party services
• Use the app to harass, abuse, or harm others or to distribute harmful or offensive content

We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these terms.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the photos and other content you upload. By using the app, you grant us the rights necessary to process, store, and transmit that content to provide the service (for example to run health, price-check, molt, or chat features and to use third-party AI and hosting services as described in our Privacy Policy).

5. Subscriptions and Payments

If you purchase a subscription or other paid feature, billing is handled by Apple or Google (as applicable) under their terms. Pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are subject to the app store's policies. We do not store your full payment card details.

6. Disclaimers

THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED. HEALTH INSIGHTS, MOLT INFORMATION, COMPATIBILITY GUIDANCE, AND PRICE ESTIMATES ARE INFORMATIONAL ONLY AND MAY BE INACCURATE. USE THE APP AT YOUR OWN RISK.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHRIMP EXPERT AND ITS CREATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED OUTPUT.

8. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may change the app's features or these Terms at any time. We will post updated Terms at this URL and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

9. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app operator is based. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
